A stroll through Wilshire Park
A winter wonderland, what a great way to start the new year. I took lots of walks – some with David, some with friends and some by myself. Everyone I ran into was excited and just happy to be outside in the snow. I loved being at home and not feeling obligated to be productive and connected to my phone.
Everything sort of slowed down and there was less urgency, nice! I also felt a little at loose ends, and I ate WAY too much, oh well. Ultimately I sort of found a new groove and was productive without the pressure. I started getting my taxes ready to take to my CPA (I have never done that in January), I went through some boxes of old photos, I did some long overdue spring cleaning, I read a ton and just felt more relaxed. I’m hoping that I carry some of that productivity and relaxed attitude into the new year. Sometimes I’m so busy being busy I lose sight of what I really want to do!
