If I haven’t mentioned it before, the Windermere Foundation supports some really great causes, large and small. Our company also focuses on one project each year and makes a large donation through the Foundation. We participate in events to raise money and, as individual agents, a portion of each commission is donated to the Foundation as well. Last year, our project was Friends of the Children.

Friends of the Children is an organization that helps children facing the highest risks by pairing them with mentors from kindergarten through high school. This mentor/friend spends at least 16 hours with them a month. They recently completed a new facility where the kids and their mentors can spend time doing anything from homework to cooking classes to playing basketball. This video will give you a better idea of the scope and success of the program. I cannot tell you how inspired I am by what they’re doing and how honored I am to be part of a company that chooses to support this cause!
